The Caribou Middle School boys’ soccer team coupled an overtime victory on the road with a home loss in a pair of league games played this week.

On Monday, the Vikings prevailed 2-1 over Presque Isle Blue as Griffen McNeal converted an Edison Sleeper cross with one minute to go in the second overtime period.

McNeal also scored in the first half off an Aryan Bawa assist. Goalkeeper Alex Belanger got defensive help from Konnor Huckins, Keegan Bell and Eliot Sleeper, while Brayden Brescia and Dawson St. Pierre both turned in strong field games, according to coach Steve Perreault.

On Wednesday, the Shiretowners held a slim 2-1 lead with seven minutes remaining before exploding for three late goals in the 5-1 victory. McNeal scored off an Edison Sleeper assist for Caribou’s only goal. Devin Wright, Alex Levesque, Dylan Bouchard and Calvin Hersey all played well for the Vikings.
