FORT KENT, Maine — VNA Home Health Hospice will begin its fall 2018 grief support group, to be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Northern Maine Medical Center.
Sessions will begin Oct. 16 and end on Nov. 20 at the hospital’s second-floor conference room.
This six-week support group offers adults the opportunity to learn about grief and share their experiences in a supportive, safe environment. Any adult (18 years and older) who is dealing with the death of a loved one may participate.
The group is free of charge, but will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants. Participants should plan to attend all sessions and no new participants will be accepted after Oct. 23 in order to maintain group integrity.
Anyone interested in attending must speak with Bereavement Coordinator George McLaughlin at 764-9413 in order to reserve their spot in the group.
VNA officials also announced that on Oct. 1, VNA Home Health Hospice will become Northern Light Home Care & Hospice.
