FORT KENT, Maine — Acadia Federal Credit Union has announced that Rae Ann Baron has accepted the position of loan officer at their Madawaska branch.

Baron began training for her new role on Sept. 24.

Baron’s duties will include assisting members with their consumer lending needs, while viewing, analyzing and approving both consumer and real estate loans.

“I’m very excited about this new position and continued career growth with Acadia,” said Baron. “I’m especially looking forward to serving new and existing Acadia members with the knowledge I have in the lending department.”

With 23 years of varied credit union experience under her belt, Baron began her Acadia career in June as a teller. Acadia management quickly recognized that the seasoned professional would inevitably transition into a new role.

“With her background in lending through credit card approval and processing, Rae Ann will be a great addition to our Acadia lending team,” said Michele Martin, loan manager for Acadia FCU. “We all truly look forward to working with her in this capacity.”

A lifelong resident of Madawaska, Baron shares her home with her husband, Davis, and 15-year-old son, Kaleb. She enjoys going for walks and tossing a football with her son.
