PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Tracy Lynn McDougall, aged 51, passed away surrounded by her closest family members on October 4th at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle, Maine after a courageous, while brief, battle with cancer. Tracy was born December 1st, 1966, in Presque Isle, Maine to Jean and Sonny Drost, Sr. of Washburn, Maine.
Tracy was many things to many people, but above anything else, she was the epitome of family tradition. She absolutely adored her parents and wouldn’t surrender a Sunday visit at their house for anything in the world. Her children were her proudest accomplishment in life; never missing a milestone to celebrate or a failure to foothold. She was a champion of the Sunday breakfast and a true beacon of light, positivity and laughter to anyone who was lucky enough to know her. Even in her most trying times and final moments, she radiated love, warmth and concern for those around her. She lived a simple life with substantial spirit and conviction.
Tracy is survived by both of her parents, Jean and Sonny Drost, Sr. of Washburn; her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Samantha McDougall of Cumberland Foreside; her daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Luke Fuller of Easton; her loving partner, Troy Gagnon of Caribou; her very special stepson, Malcolm McDougall of Easton; as well as her older brother, Sonny Drost, Jr. and her younger sister, Vicky Drost, both of Presque Isle, as well as their children. Tracy is also survived by very many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tracy and her family prefer to represent the end of her life in the way that she lived it; a celebration. In lieu of a funeral or calling hours, there will be an intimate celebration of life to be disclosed at a later time. Memories, condolences and donations can be sent to P.O. Box 182, Easton, Maine 04740. A special donation will then be sent in honor and memory of Tracy to the Aroostook House of Comfort, as they helped Tracy fulfill her last wishes and time on this Earth with the upmost respect and consideration.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.directcremationofmaine.com. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine.
