CARIBOU, Maine — A local band will headline a concert to raise funds for those in need at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Caribou Performing Arts Center.

Organized by Helping Our People Eagerly (H.O.P.E.), the event will feature the band No Pressure. All proceeds will be used to assist people with short-term financial difficulties.

H.O.P.E. chair Pamela Murchison said via email that the organization, though affiliated with the Parish of the Precious Blood, aids anyone needing emergency assistance.

During the 2017-18 fiscal year, H.O.P.E. donated more than $5,000 to people in central Aroostook County, Murchison stated. Along with donating $3,000 to the Aroostook County Action Program to benefit those needing emergency fuel assistance, the group was able to aid people with electricity bills, lodging, housing and rent.

Admission to the concert is by donation.
