CARIBOU, Maine — Northern Maine General has hired its first full-time health homes coordinator for children, a move which will allow the organization to broaden its partnership with Medicaid to deliver quality “whole-person” care to people who have chronic conditions.

“We’re happy to welcome Adam J. Fantasia of Presque Isle to our case management team,” said Megan Bonenfant, case management program manager, based at NMG’s central office in Eagle Lake.

Fantasia, who lives in Presque Isle and has a secondary education degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, enjoys working with children and coaches football at night. He was previously employed at The Northern Lighthouse. He will work from NMG’s office in Caribou.

NMG offers services to Aroostook County families with members diagnosed with a mental illness, an intellectual disability, a pervasive developmental disorder and/or autism.

The mission of NMG, offering social services since 1907, is to provide individuals with the highest standard of care and help all of the people it serves enjoy life to its fullest potential.
