Mars Hill news and notes (week of November 21, 2018)

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center.

Rotarian Ed Wright spoke to the group about the recent Rotary Foundation meeting he attended.

He then asked the members to think about the reason that they joined Rotary and the moment they truly became a Rotarian.  Some reasons included “to give back”, “to help others”, “to help better the community and world”, “to be part of something bigger”, and more.

The Rotary Foundation’s record of giving is one of the largest in the world.  One hundred percent of money given to the Foundation is then donated out through grants.
