PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Maine Warden Service will host a series of informational meetings statewide, including one in Presque Isle on Thursday, April 4, to discuss the career of a warden and answer audience questions.

The local session will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Presque Isle Police Department.

“Anyone who is interested in a challenging, outdoor career protecting Maine’s natural resources is encouraged to attend,” said Warden Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is based in the New Sweden area.

Fitzpatrick, along with other Warden Service personnel, will attend the Presque Isle session.

At each information gathering, Game Wardens will be on hand to help prepare applicants by covering the necessary skills required, detailing the hiring process and explaining the educational, law enforcement and search and rescue mission of the Maine Warden Service.

Other sessions will take place as follows: April 1, 6 p.m., Sidney, at the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife regional headquarters; April 2, 6 p.m., Gray, MDIFW regional headquarters; April 3, 6 p.m. Bangor, MDIFW regional headquarters; April 6, 10 a.m., Kittery Trading Post; and April 7, 10 a.m., at the Scarborough Cabela’s.
