PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a man who is wanted on charges of alleged drug trafficking and violating conditions of release.

During a traffic stop on Main Street on Thursday, May 9, Cpl. Lucas Hafford ended up arresting the female driver and charging her with possession of methamphetamine. A passenger, Stenson Gustin, was in possession of a safe that he refused to open, according Hafford. The corporal seized the safe and reported later finding 2.34 grams of methamphetamine inside it.

Police did not release the name of the female driver or why Gustin was able to escape arrest. They are asking members of the public to be on the lookout for Gustin so that he can be arrested and charged with unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs and violating conditions of release.

Gustin is 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds, has red hair and blue eyes, and is believed to be transient in the Presque Isle area.

Police urge the public to contact the department at (207) 764-4476 if they see Gustin or have other information about his whereabouts.
