Northern Maine Development Commission hires new portfolio manager

CARIBOU, Maine — Northern Maine Development Commission has announced the hiring of Kerrigan Arnett as portfolio manager in the Business Finance Division.

Arnett is a recent 2019 graduate from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she graduated summa cum laude as a Campus to Career Distinguished Graduate. She received a bachelor of arts in business administration degree with concentrations in management, leadership, and accounting.

She was an inducted member in Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success during her time at UMPI. Upon graduation, Kerrigan left her longtime internship at Huber Engineered Woods, LLC in Easton to join the NMDC team.

Arnett grew up in Aroostook County and was a graduate of Easton High School’s Class of 2015, as well as the 2015 Katahdin Trust Company Gauvin Scholar. She has been an active part of many local organizations, including holding the office of secretary for the Easton Alumni Association.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to give back to my community and make a difference in the area that shaped me as a person,” said Arnett.

As portfolio manager, Arnett will maintain current and accurate client loan file documentation and balances.

“Kerrigan has excellent organizational skills and a strong foundation in accounting which will assist her in this new position,” said Mary Dahlgren, NMDC finance director.

Arnett began her job on May 13.

Northern Maine Development Commission is a membership organization comprised of participating communities and counties in the Aroostook Washington Economic Development District. The goal of the business finance division is to create new jobs, retain existing jobs, and promote economic development for northern and eastern Maine.
