Donnie, an approximately 6 year old neutered male cat, had been living at a foster home and then Halfway Home Pet Rescue Adoption Center since January 16, 2016.
Donnie came to the rescue after being trapped from a feral cat colony during the cold winter months of 2016 and had quite a few issues with frostbite. Although he resisted loving attention from HHPR volunteer for several months, he really liked have a warm shelter and generous helping of cat food. Donnie finally decided after a year that several of the volunteers could be his human friend but he was cautious about accepting new people friendships. As of July 25th, 2019, Donnie was adopted to a responsible and loving home. The statement has been made that “Donnie knows he is finally home.”
