Hospice slates training for local volunteers

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Northern Light Home Care & Hospice – Aroostook will hold new volunteer training in Presque Isle beginning on Oct. 21 for five consecutive Mondays.

Sessions will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle on Oct. 21 and 28 and Nov. 4, 11 and 18. 

Home Care & Hospice needs volunteers to help hospice patients from The County. Volunteers may hold a hand, lend an ear, run an errand or provide a comforting presence.  Compassionate, reliable individuals with a sincere desire to help are welcome to join the volunteer team.

Healthcare experience is not required. Volunteers will receive the necessary training and support needed to help them enjoy a positive and rewarding volunteer experience.
