WASHBURN, Maine — Principal Larry Worcester, along with the staff of Washburn District High School, are proud to announce Russell Farley as the October Student of the Month.
Farley is a junior at WDHS and the son of Russell and Freda Farley.
His is usually one of the first faces people see when walking into the high school. He can be found holding the door and greeting everyone with his bright smile and jovial “Good morning.”
“Russell’s laugh is infectious,” remarked one staff member, while others agreed, “Russell is helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to have in class.”
Recently, at the fall sports awards event, Farley received the Coach’s Award for his efforts on the soccer field. Coach Goodwin spoke highly of Farley and how his teamwork, willingness to work hard and help others was such an asset to his team.
