Tiger boys roar past Hodgdon

HODGDON, Maine — The Fort Fairfield boys basketball team roared to a 72-45 road victory over Hodgdon Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Kadin Barnes paced the Tigers (3-8) with 23 points, including 10 in the final quarter alone, as Fort Fairfield led for most of the contest. Chase Coiley chipped in with 19 points, while Alex Oakes added 14 points; Micah Daigle had six; Gabe Theriault and Blake Senal each had three; and Kobe West and Bryce Martin each scored two.

The Tigers clung to a 10-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, but erupted for a 30-16 advantage at the halftime break. The lead grew to 49-26 after three periods.

For Hodgdon (4-6), Troy Hipsley had 12 points, while Oisin Gardiner and Drew Duttweiler each added 11. Isaac Jurson chipped in five points, while Walker Oliver added four and Reiley Wright had two.
