Vikings roll past Hermon in boys, girls tennis

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou boys and girls tennis teams both secured a pair of victories over visiting Hermon Saturday in a doubleheader match.

The Caribou girls picked up 4-1 and 3-2 victories over the Hawks, while the Viking boys were victorious 3-2 and 5-0. The Viking girls are undefeated on the year, with an 8-0 record, while the Caribou boys are 6-2.

The individual girls results from the first match, with Caribou players listed first, were in singles, Sage Dubay beat Mia Buzzeo, 8-0; Livia Bouchard defeated Torria Wittmer, 8-1; Ashlyn Bouchard bested Kelsey Bridges, 8-1.

In doubles, Mia Theriault and Naomi Cote beat Izzy Byram and Ashlin Allen, 8-5; and Caribou forfeited to Ellie Williams and Jaime Russell.

In the second match of the day, Sage Dubay beat Mia Buzzeo, 8-0; Livia Bouchard bested Torria Wittmer, 8-0; and Ashlyn Bouchard defeated Izzy Byram, 8-0.

In doubles, Mia Theriault and Naomi Cote lost to Jaylin Hills and Bella Bowden, 6-8; and Caribou forfeited to Isabelle Goodine and Emily McGraw.

The individual results for the Caribou boys, with Viking players listed first, were in singles, Sawyer Deprey beat Pat Verrill, 8-2; Devon Ouellette bested Corbin Hamm, 8-3; and Brevin Barnes lost to Cooper Jensen, 3-8.

In doubles, Abe Bouchard and Cody Martin beat Cody Butler and Ethan Hallett, 8-5; and Ari Plante and Evan Rossignol lost to Chasen Flanders and Nick Peterson, 4-8.

In the second match of the day, Sawyer Deprey beat Owen Michaud, 8-0; Devon Ouellette defeated Gary Glidden, 8-1; and Brevin Barnes bested Ryan Hallett, 8-1.

In doubles, Abe Bouchard and Cody Martin beat Zac Allen and Collin Emery, 8-4; and Ari Plante and Nick Staples bested Josh Sullivan and Atley Glidden, 8-0.
