2021 County Open draws large field of golfers

The 2021 County Open was a resounding success for the Health Service Foundation as the popular two-day golf tournament drew a strong field of golfers to Houlton Community Golf Course and VaJoWa Golf Course over the weekend.

The County Open is a yearly fundraiser to support the Houlton Regional Health Services Foundation. During the weekend a Golf Tournament, Golf Scramble, and a dinner with cash raffle are held.

Ian Gervais was crowned the overall winner of the Houlton tournament as he shot a 73, finishing one-stroke ahead of Jerry York. Gervais was awarded the Daniel Tracy Memorial trophy for his efforts.

The complete results from the two-day tourney were as follows.

Houlton Community Golf

A Division — 1st Gross, Ian Gervais, 73; 2nd Gross, Jerry York, 74; 3rd Gross, Troy Adams, 75; 1st Net, Joe Clukey, 64; 2nd Net, Porter Gervais, 70; and 3rd Net, Adam Derosier, 71.

B Division — 1st Gross, Barrett Potter, 80; 2nd Gross, Kevin Tuttle, 83; 3rd Gross, Logan Schaffer, 87; 1st Net, Brent Lincoln, 70; 2nd Net, Herman Madore, 72; and 3rd Net, Tony Marino, 73.

C Division — 1st Gross, Max Rush, 83; 2nd Gross, Greg Palmer, Jr. 88; 3rd Gross, Randy Lincoln, 91; 1st Net, Jim Quirk, 69; 2nd Net, Fred Gillis, 70; 3rd Net, Danny Williams, 73.

Ladies Division — 1st Gross, Misty Marino, 90; 1st Net, Lexi Emerson, 78.

The Longest Drive (Men’s Division) went to Logan Schaffer, while the Longest Drive (Women’s Division) went to Lexi Emerson.
