WASHBURN, Maine — The Salmon Brook Historical Society will hold its second Annual Craft and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, on the museum grounds at 1267 Main Street in Washburn.
The sale will feature handmade items such as quilts, aprons, table runners, placemats, knitted items, Christmas items, baked goods and much more. New to the sale this year will be a “previously enjoyed” table of gently used craft items. Area crafters and bakers have donated their time and talents to the event. All proceeds will help to maintain both the Wilder House Museum and Aroostook County Agricultural Museum.
Last year’s event was held to raise funds to help complete an addition to the museum. Society officials will showcase a completed addition to all those attending the craft sale this year.
“Through the efforts of skilled contractors and our volunteers, the project has been completed and is a fantastic addition to the museum,” said society president Larry Hallowell.
Any crafters wanting to donate items to the cause should contact Hallowell at 863-397-1259.
