EASTON, Maine — A New Hampshire man escaped injury after crashing his tractor trailer truck on a trailer park in Easton Tuesday, Oct. 5, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.

Luis Alers, 50, of Seabrook, New Hampshire was driving a 2018 Kenworth tractor trailer southbound on Richardson Road at approximately 7:02 p.m. Alers told police he swerved to avoid a moose in the road, causing the rig to leave the road and strike a wire on an electric pole at the J&B Mobile Home Park.

None of the homes were damaged, though the electric pole had to be repaired by Emera Maine crews shortly after the crash, noted Sheriff’s Office Commander Joey Seeley.

Alers was not charged as a result of the crash.
