Spaghetti drive-thru to benefit Daze

Spring in Mapleton begins in 18 days, and the first spring event will be the Mapleton Daze Drive-Thru Spaghetti Dinner on March 26.

Mapleton Daze is scheduled at the end of June as the first and largest event in Mapleton for the summer.  The Mapleton Daze Committee announced the dinner will be held at the Mapleton Lions Hall on March 26, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. or until the food is gone.

The meal will consist of spaghetti with the choice of meat sauce of just plain sauce with roll, a homemade dessert and a bottle of water and/or can of soda.  The committee will be accepting donations to fund this summer’s Mapleton Daze, however they do suggest a donation of $10 for each meal combo.

This year’s dinner will take place on Saturday, March 26, at the Mapleton Lions Hall on Main Street. Diners can purchase dinners to take home and enjoy with family and friends. Proceeds will fund the 2022 Mapleton Daze in June.

The committee invites you and all of your friends and family to come out and have a great meal and help raise funds for Mapleton Daze 2022. For more information, visit the event page at www.facebook.com/events/654137689278343.

Annual Lions auction

The Mapleton Lions Club’s Annual Spring Auction returns this year.  Solicitation of items and services for the auction has already begun.  The auction will be hosted online by Matt Gregg Auctions.  Matt is an active member of the Mapleton Lions Club and is looking forward to this special fundraising event.

Lions will be soliciting items and services through March and the online auction catalog will be listed on April 6.  Items will be added through April with the auction ending on May 6.

There will be a preview of auction items on May 5 from 4 to 6 p.m.  The preview will be held at the Mapleton Lions Hall, where purchased items in the auction may be picked up on May 7, beginning at 2 p.m.

This has always been the major fundraiser for the Mapleton Lions Club.  Community residents support the club through the purchase of the goods and services donated to the club.

Spring Craft Fair

As announced earlier, the Mapleton Daze Committee’s Annual Spring Craft Fair and Vendor Sale is coming, but with a location change.  Instead of being held at the Mapleton Lions Hall, the event will be held at the Mapleton Elementary School on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Come and browse the school-filled with talented local people and get your gifts and other items just in time for Easter/Mother’s Day. There will be over 20 crafters and vendors coming to the fair.  Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Spring Craft and Vendor Fair in order to support the 2022 Mapleton Daze.
