Circle to host Way of the Cross Friday

CARIBOU, Maine — All are welcome to kick off Mother’s Day Weekend by following Jesus on his journey to Calvary through the eyes of his mother.

The Daughters of Isabella Circle 638 in Caribou will host Mary’s Way of the Cross at 3 p.m. Friday, May 6, at 3 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. The event aims to honor Mary and all mothers prior to Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8.

It has been a Catholic tradition through the centuries to meditate on the Way of the Cross. Mary, Mother of Jesus, made the first Way of the Cross, and this presentation will attempt to display that viewpoint and use it to help participants make positive, practical applications to their own lives.

Founded in 1947, the Daughters of Isabella Circle 638 aims to unite Catholic women in the Caribou area for community, faith sharing and the pursuit of good.
