HOULTON, Maine – On May 27, members of the Monument Lodge No. 96 in Houlton awarded four bikes to four students in first and second grade at Houlton Elementary School as part of the annual “Bikes for Books” event.

Students have participated in this annual event for several decades. For every book read, a coupon was deposited in a box. The more books read, the greater the chance of winning a bike.
