PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — During the weekend of the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest, Thompson Financial Group kicked off the inaugural Great TFG Balloon Chase 5K.
The early morning race allowed runners and walkers the chance to run the course with balloons overhead. Nearly 150 runners and walkers toed the line Sunday during the morning’s mass ascension at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds in Presque Isle.
The overall race winner was Dylan Marrero with a time of 17:55 and the first female finisher was Marie Beckum with a time of 22:04.
Top ten finishers were: Marrero, Griffin Guigan, Tewolte Stweart, Beckum, Jack Tetreault, Mandy Graham, Brian Evans, Ben Chartier, BaoBao Nguyen and Ashley Violette.
