From the Bunkers – Week of September 21, 2022

Over the weekend, the annual Ryan Wright Two-Person Scramble was held at Houlton Community Golf Course. Coming in first was Randy Lincoln and Sean Dolomont, while second place went to Aaron Peabody and Tony Marino; and third place went to Daniel and Traci Peabody.

It was a beautiful day with a full field.  This just reminds us all that even though it may be getting cooler out, there is still some great golf to be played.

Last week, it was mentioned that the Cross Country Par 3 would be this coming Sunday, however this has been postponed with no exact date as of yet. This weekend Houlton Community Golf Course will be hosting VaJoWa for a Ryder Cup match. This will feature eight golfers from each club in a Ryder Cup format.  They will tee off approx. at ten each day.  Come out and root them on.  The course will not be closed during this, only while they tee off.

There has been another Hole in One, this time on the eighth hole. On Aug. 31, Herman Madore got the Ace.

Last week the Board of Directors met and unanimously voted to allow the purchase of 2023 memberships at 2022 prices. As a bonus, if you are not a member currently, you can play the remainder of 2022 season with the purchase of a 2023 membership.
