FORT KENT, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Warrior girls narrowly defeated the Fort Kent Warrior girls 49-45 during a nailbiter Saturday in Fort Kent.
The Fort Kent girls moved to 6-5 on the season with the loss and a No. 8 spot in the Class C North standings.
Southern Aroostook remains at the top of the Class D North standings with a record of 10-2.
Lily Oliver led Fort Kent with 15 points. Mia Voisine registered eight points and Julia Cyr added seven.
Cami Shields of Southern Aroostook had a game high 19 points, enough to net her a spot in the exclusive 1,000 point club. Her sister Ally Shields followed with nine points. Maddie Russell scored eight.
