Contestants seek Mapleton crowns

The Mapleton Daze Committee will host the Miss Mapleton Pageants at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Mapleton Elementary School. 

This year’s pageant, under the direction of Kim Guerrette Michaud and Sarah McEachern, is themed “Walking on Sunshine” with lots of fun, sunshiny music and decorations. 

“Pageantry is a wonderful way to begin the journey of self-esteem and confidence, and this year’s contestants have already shown that they are full of sunshine and confidence,” Guerrette Michaud said. 

The emcee for the evening will be Wendy Maple, a pageant veteran with years of experience as a pageant mom, coach and judge. 

All proceeds from the pageant will benefit the Mapleton Daze Committee, which will sponsor the Mapleton Daze celebration June 20-25. Community members who wish to support the fundraiser and the contestants by attending the pageant can purchase tickets at $8 each from any contestant. 

Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the pageant for $10.
