HOULTON, Maine  – Katahdin Trust, a community bank serving northern Maine, and the greater Bangor and Portland regions, recently celebrated its employees with a bank-wide Employee Appreciation event held at New England Outdoor Center in Millinocket.

This year’s event brought together more than 140 employees and included years of service recognition awards for those who were celebrating a milestone year, as well as a nice dinner, prizes, games, and more!

“We were excited to once again be able to bring all of our employees from throughout the state together to thank them and acknowledge them for their hard work,” shared Jon Prescott, Katahdin Trust president and CEO. “It is not an easy task to coordinate having all of our staff meet together all at once. Our Employee Engagement Team did a tremendous job in pulling this off, and to have it be in front of Mt. Katahdin was just an added bonus.”

Twenty-seven employees were recognized for a combined 490 years of service with Katahdin Trust! Years of service recognition ranged from five to 40 years. As a token of the Bank’s sincere appreciation for a job well done, employees receiving an award were able to choose extra days off or a monetary gift based on their years of service.
