Correction

In the Feb. 14 edition of the Star-Herald, an advisement was placed announcing the election of an SAD 1 District 3 school director position for the March 5 primary election.  Unfortunately this was an error due to some automated reporting to the town office.

Board of directors’ terms of office run for three years beginning Jan. 1 following the general election in November.  Each year elections are held for approximately one-third of the director positions on the board.  The next election for the District 3 seat will be held this coming Nov. 5.  Terry Sandusky is the current incumbent for this seat.

School adopts calendar

On Feb. 12, the SAD 1 board adopted two school calendars for the coming 2024-2025 school year.  One calendar covers the elementary and middle schools and the second is for the high school, which has a separate educational year.

Calendars are available from the district administrative office and will be posted on the school district web page in the near future.
