The Maine Association of Retirees will hold its annual regional meeting from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Presque Isle.
The meeting will be held at the Hampton Inn on Main Street, Presque Isle. Attendees will learn about legislative actions that may affect their retirement.
Information about medical plans will be shared as well, including Medicare savings plans. The highlight of the meeting will be a presentation by the Maine Public Utilities Commission on upcoming utility rate changes that can impact retirees.
There will be a review of the association’s 2024-2025 budget and an election of a regional director and alternate director.
A buffet lunch will be served.
The cost to attend is $5, which includes all materials and lunch.
