CARIBOU, Maine – On Wednesday, January 15  Aroostook County Tourism will be hosting a networking event titled “Coffee and Tourism” at the Best Western Caribou Inn & Convention Center, located at 19 Main Street  in Caribou. The gathering, scheduled from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., is open to all businesses, municipalities and associations in the local, regional and state tourism industry, aiming to foster collaboration and share insights into the sector’s development.

This informal meet-up provides an opportunity for businesses, trail masters, museums, recreation departments, municipalities and statewide associations involved in tourism to engage in open discussions about the current and future landscape of tourism in Aroostook County. The event will begin with casual mingling, followed by a short talk addressing the impact of tourism, the branding and target market of Aroostook County and while most of the  event is open dialogue among participants to be connected with resources like marketing, promotion, creating packages and public relations.

Attendees are encouraged to bring and share promotional materials, such as business cards and brochures, to  facilitate networking and partnership opportunities. The informal setting is designed to encourage sharing of ideas  and strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of tourism services across The County.

For those unable to attend the first event in this series, Aroostook County Tourism has planned events on February 24 in Houlton, May 1 in Central Aroostook and June 4 in Madawaska.

The newly launched ACT Partners hub, an online resource featuring statistics, tools and resources, is also available to help local businesses attract more visitors to the region. Participants are also playfully encouraged to bring their  best snow dance to the event.
