Another week has gone by, and we have picked up some more snow, not a lot but every bit helps. Seems like all clubs are getting out there and doing some magic with what they have to work with. The wind has helped in certain areas and in others it has blown off the fields. Conditions are still considered early-season riding in some areas and in others the trails are just beautiful.
We are planning to get a few inches Thursday night into Friday morning, which will certainly help conditions. Clubs will be working hard to get this snow packed before the weekend so please be patient with them. Some clubs will also be finishing some signing on their trails, if you see them out stop by and thank them for what they do.
With clubs opening up more trails this week and the posts that have been put out there traffic will be on the heavy side this weekend. Remember wooded trails are still on the skimpy side so ride with caution.
Once again, the best ride is from Eagle Lake out towards the Allagash and in between. The Oxbow area is still in great shape as well.
