Vendor spots are still available for the Mapleton Daze Committee’s Spring Craft Fair, slated from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. am to 3:00 pm.
The fair will be held at Mapleton Elementary School. Participants and visitors should use the maine office doors on the playground side of the building.
All are welcome to browse goods from many local crafters.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pictures with the little ones.

Please consider bringing some school supplies that will be donated to the school. Pens, paper, crayons, folders, etc., are all greatly appreciated.
Monday lunch
Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman folks age 60 and above who may be going into Presque Isle to shop are invited to come to the Aroostook Agency on Aging each Monday at 11 a.m. for their congregate lunch.
A nutritious sit-down meal is held every Monday, except for holidays, for everyone 60 and above who does not receive home-delivered meals. Preregistration is required. There is no charge for the meal, but donations are encouraged.
Older residents in and around Presque Isle are welcome to attend. To register, call the Aroostook Agency on Aging at 207-764-3396 and ask to be put on the registration list.
Charity auction
The Mapleton Lions Club will hold its annual charity auction Saturday, May 10, at the Mapleton Lions Community Hall.
The auction has been the club’s largest fundraising activity and funds many charitable activities.
A supper will be held prior to the auction. Everyone is invited to dine and help support the club’s work in our three communities.
