PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The County Federal Credit Union recently held the annual Fall Festival to End Hunger at Big Rock Mountain in Mars Hill and raised just shy of $50,000 for local food pantries.

“The community has enthusiastically embraced our Fall Festival to End Hunger each year since its inception,” said Dan Bagley, EVP. “Local businesses, community members and partners have generously contributed through sponsorships, donations, and active participation. The festival’s success reflects our team’s dedication and the strong partnerships we’ve built with local organizations, media outlets, and groups such as the Aroostook Agency on Aging, Big Rock Mountain, Mars Hill Country Club and area ATV clubs.”

The Fall Festival to End Hunger is a music and food festival held annually at Big Rock Mountain in Mars Hill on the first Saturday in October. Last year, The County added an ATV ride-in and golf tournament. This year, Big Rock’s new lift was able to provide scenic rides to the top of the mountain. The event, headlined by Motor Booty Affair, saw nearly 1,000 attendees check out the festivities. The associated golf tournament had 75 players, and the ATV Ride-In had nearly 80 riders.

“The Fall Festival to End Hunger has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last three years,” said James Mattila, COO. “Our motto of ‘People Helping People’ drives every fundraising effort and everything we do in our communities. All proceeds we raise go back into local food pantries for our friends and neighbors.”

Next year’s event is already being planned for Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, rain or shine. To learn more about the Fall Festival to End Hunger, go to www.CountyFallFestival.org or call 1-877-318-3838.
