FORT KENT, Maine — As the landscape begins to thaw, the St. John Valley prepares to celebrate its vibrant artisan community. The Handcrafted in the Valley Arts & Crafts Fair will take place on Saturday, April 25, offering a perfect opportunity for the community to shake off the winter blues. This highly anticipated event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Center, located at 20 Pine St. in Fort Kent. Admission is free to the public.

The arts & crafts fair showcases the incredible talent tucked away in our region, featuring 25 unique vendors gathered under one roof. Attendees can browse an eclectic selection of one-of-a-kind handmade crafts and home décor designed to welcome the new season. It is the ideal destination to find thoughtful, locally made gifts or a special treat for yourself while supporting the creative spirit of the Valley.

Beyond the shopping experience, the event serves as a festive community gathering with something for every age. Visitors can warm up with a bowl of famous chicken stew and ployes, a beloved local staple or enjoy fresh popcorn while they browse. Professional face painting will be available to keep the children smiling, and those feeling lucky can participate in the 50/50 raffle. All food, activities and raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the day.

The Handcrafted in the Valley Arts & Crafts Fair is more than just a market; it is a celebration of the makers who define our region’s culture. For more information regarding the event or vendor details, please contact Eileen Belanger at mailbird68@yahoo.com.
