Dube awarded graduate research fellowship

Olivia Dube, daughter of Robie Dube and Cynthia Tenteromano of Greenland, New Hampshire and granddaughter of Lucien and Linda Dube of Madawaska and Paula Manning of St. David and Frank Tenteromano of Port Charlotte, Florida, was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program.

It is one of the most prestigious early career research awards in the United States. Receiving this award signals that she is viewed as a future leader in her field. The award is awarded to a small percentage of applicants across all research fields. Dube’s research ideas stood out at the national level. She spent a month preparing a compelling research proposal, explaining the broader impacts, and securing strong reference letters from professors. It’s quite a lengthy process. The GRFP program receives 14,000 applicants and only 2,500 are awarded.

Dube graduated from Worcester Poly Tech Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts in chemistry in 2025 and is now attending Duke University in Durham, North Carolina for her doctorate.
