Each gallery has its own theme, “fractured” for Wintergreen and “music” for Common Gallery, and each artist will complete a piece representing the theme will be displayed at the respective gallery. The opening reception of  the show will be held Friday evening from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Friday, June 5 during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Night.

Live music by Janice Santos and Doug Drew will be featured at the Wintergreen Arts Center and light refreshments will be provided. Live music by Carol Ayobb and Jon Steinberger will be featured at the Common Gallery. Come and celebrate the music and art of Aroostook County.

“Shelby and I are excited to feature artwork from local artists across each of our galleries,” Gretchen Violette from  the Wintergreen Arts Center said. “The themes of Fractured and Music create a striking contrast, and we’re eager to see how each artist interprets these ideas and how their individual style is influenced. Hosting a multi-gallery show in Presque Isle allows these artists to reach a broader audience, carrying with it a deeper appreciation for their talent and the vibrant creativity within our community.”

First Friday Art Night will be held from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Friday, June 5 at the Wintergreen Arts Center at 830 Main St. at the Aroostook Center Mall in Presque Isle and at the Common Gallery at 422 Main St. in downtown Presque Isle. This event is free and open to the public.
