CARIBOU, Maine – The Friends of the Caribou Public Library are hosting the annual Perennial Sale on Saturday, June 13 at the Caribou Public Library. This event has become a much-anticipated annual event in Caribou, due in large part to its affordable prices. The proceeds from the sale will go to the many programs the library offers to the community.
The plants that are offered for sale vary from year-to-year depending on contributions. All donated plants are welcome for the sale. Generally, the sale features both annual and perennial plants, vegetable seedlings, herbs, Hosta’s, raspberry plants, rhubarb plants and even houseplants: Something for everyone!
The sale will begin at 9 a.m. in the Caribou Public Library parking lot, and all plant donations are welcomed and encouraged throughout the week leading to the sale. In the event of inclement weather, the sale will be moved indoors at the same location with signs posted. Come early as plants go quickly, often being sold out by noontime.
