Cary Medical Center has once again been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine, marking the sixth consecutive year the organization has earned this prestigious distinction.
The recognition, announced by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group and BridgeTower Media, celebrates Maine employers that are creating exceptional workplaces and putting their employees at the heart of their success.
For Cary Medical Center, being named a Best Place to Work for six straight years is more than an award, it reflects the people who come to work each day committed to caring for our patients, supporting one another and strengthening the health and well-being of Aroostook County.
“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work in Maine is a tremendous honor because it recognizes the culture created and embraced by the people who make Cary the special place it is, our employees,” said Kris Doody, RN, CEO of Cary Medical Center. “Our employees are at the center of everything we do. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to excellence are what make Cary a great place to work, and such a healing environment in which to receive care.”
The Best Places to Work in Maine program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers across the state in three categories based on the number of employees: small employers with less than employees, medium employers with more than 50 and less than 250 employees, and large employers with 250 or more employees. With more then 550 employees, Cary Medical Center competes against the largest companies in this state to earn the Best Places distinction.
The selection process for Best Places includes a comprehensive employee survey and assessment of workplace practices. Best Companies Group manages the registration and survey process, analyzes the results and determines the final rankings.
While Cary already knows it has earned a place among Maine’s Best Places to Work, the organization’s final ranking will be announced during the Best Places to Work in Maine awards celebration on Oct. 13.
For Cary Medical Center, the recognition is another reason to celebrate the people behind the mission of creating healthier communities and a reminder that when employees feel valued, supported, and connected to a greater purpose, everyone benefits.
