Plaque for library A plaque was recently placed on one of the walls of Cary Library honoring a benefactor of the town, Jonah Dunn. The plaque was discovered in the library attic this fall by trustee Frank Peltier, who was conducting general cleanup in anticipation of improvements in the children’s room downstairs. The 20-by-30-inch solid bronze plaque gave Dunn’s name and his past achievements for the town. The memorial was originally given to the library by Charles E. Dunn and Charles Dunn Jr. in 1926, the 100th anniversary of Jonah Dunn’s arrival in Houlton.
