Roix – McQuarrie announce their engagement

Deborah J. Roix and Brian M. McQuarrie exchanged vows (finally!!!) June 2, 2007 in the ballroom at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle amongst 130 guests, candlelight and rose petals.
Brian and Debbie both graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1975.
Debbie, who currently works for the State of Maine, wore a sleeveless evening gown of ivory chenille covered with glittering ivory lace. Her daughter, Kristina Cairns from Fredericton, New Brunswick, was her matron of honor.
Brian, who currently works for the City of Presque Isle, wore a black suit with an ivory silk tie. His brother, Tom McQuarrie from Ellsworth, was his best man.
The flower girl was 16-month-old Payton Cairns from Fredericton, New Brunswick, granddaughter of the bride. The ring bearer was 20-month-old AJ Powers from Cranston, R.I., grandson of the groom.
Ushers were Doug Larlee, son of the bride, and Terry Cairns, son-in-law of the bride. Debbie was given away by her father, Elwood Roix from Zephyrhills, Fla., and both of her children, who were also attendants. The officiating minister was the Rev. Dave Williams of the Grant United Methodist Church in Presque Isle. Soloist was the Rev. Lawrence Roix, brother of the bride, from Livermore Falls, who sang “Keeper of the Stars.”
Many thanks to Janice and Richard Churchill, sister and brother-in-law of the bride from Alpharetta, Ga., who did a remarkable job as wedding planners, and also to Jennifer and Michael Bailey, also from Georgia, who did all the photography.
The bride and groom now reside in Fort Fairfield, with their pet Shi Tzu, Frizty.
