The Tornado came out on fire against the Blizzard, scoring a season high five goals on their way to the 5-0 win. Alison Bell scored the first two goals for the Tornado. Page Kidney picked up the assist on the second goal. Emily Sjoberg finished off with a goal of her own to give the Tornado a 3-0 lead heading into intermission. The second half started as the first ended, with Michaela Dumais scoring off a Casey Lovely pass. Leslie Mejia finished off a pass from Sjoberg to round out the Tornado scoring. Amy Seeley and Emily Corrigan played defense for the Blizzard.
The league wrapped up Wednesday afternoon with a couple close-matched games. In the first match, the Galaxy and Hurricane again faced-off. The Hurricane got the best of the third match up, coming out on top 4-0. Taylor Williams scored the first goal off Abigayle Shaw. Shaw set up Williams just outside the penalty area, and Williams smashed the ball into the back of the net. The Hurricane took the 1-0 lead into the break. After halftime Michaela Dube scored her first three goals of the season within the first nine minutes. The first goal came just minutes after kickoff. Kailee Ferris passed a long ball up to pick up the assist. The second and third goals came in similar fashion. Dube hustled after the ball and got some lucky bounces along the way. She tucked the second goal inside the left goal post, and the third blasted over the goalie’s head. Williams, Cassidy Soucier and Madison Walton combined for the shutout in goal. Emma Curtis and Shaye McHatten helped out on defense.
Olivia Hudson had a good scoring opportunity for the Galaxy in the first half, but Dube cut her off and cleared the ball up the side. Regan Nelson and Grace Player also created some chances for the Galaxy, and Alyssa Sweeney and Alexis Bell played on defense.
The second game of the afternoon had the Blizzard and Tornado tangling for the second time in a week. This time the game had a different turn out. Both teams fought hard for ball control and field position. Brittany Warner and Alison Bell controlled the midfield for the Tornado, countered by the Blizzard’s Emily Colligan and Rachel Maxwell.
In the second half, Leslie Mejia finally solved the mystery of the Blizzard defense to put the Tornado up 1-0. The ensuing counterattack saw Amy Seeley make a run up the field. Unfortunately for the Blizzard faithful, Page Kidney quickly end any possibility of scoring. Katie Ford was finally able to tie it up for the Blizzard when she scored off a rebound with about seven minutes left. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.

The Crunch soon buckled down on defense and did a controlled the midfield. The Crunch finally got on the board when Nick Bartlett picked off a pass deep in the Blast defense and scorched it into the back of the net. The Crunch continued to pressure the Blast, but defensemen Jason Bartley, Isaac Devine and Connor Hebert did keep the ball out of the goal. Sam Gray broke through with just under five minutes left to tie it up for the Crunch. Khasen Lowe slipped the ball to Gray in heavy traffic, and Gray blistered the ball through the crowd and into the side of the net.
