FORT KENT, Maine — Principal Steve Doucette of Fort Kent Community High School is proud to announce Quinn E. Michaud, a distinguished member of the Class of 2025, as the recipient of this year’s Principal’s Award. This prestigious honor is awarded to a student who exemplifies exceptional leadership, academic excellence, service, and character — qualities that Quinn demonstrates in every aspect of his life.
The son of Matthew and Kellie Michaud of Fort Kent, Quinn has made a lasting impact on our school and community through his dedication, ambition and outstanding achievements.

A true leader, Quinn currently serves as secretary of the Maine State Student Council, president of the CHS Student Council, class representative and historian of the National Honor Society. His commitment to civic engagement is further highlighted by his nomination for the United States Senate Youth Program and his past role as co-president of the Maine State Student Council during his junior year.
Beyond his leadership, Quinn has pursued academic enrichment through Aviation Challenge Mach III at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, the Cohen Institute for Leadership and Public Service, the Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership, and Biathlon Training Camps — including one in Norway. His relentless pursuit of knowledge and growth reflects his drive for excellence.
Quinn’s success extends into athletics, where he has earned multiple awards in cross country running, nordic skiing, tennis, soccer and biathlon, competing at both national and international levels. His passion for adventure, nature photography, hiking, camping, backcountry skiing, mountain and road biking, traveling and aviation further highlights his well-rounded character.
As Quinn prepares for the next chapter of his journey, he has already been accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is exploring opportunities in military and strategic studies or homeland security and intelligence. His determination, commitment to service, and passion for leadership will undoubtedly make a lasting impact wherever he goes.
On behalf of Fort Kent Community High School and entire SAD 27, we extend our sincerest congratulations to Quinn and his family. It has been an honor to witness his incredible contributions, and we look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish in the years ahead!
