With only one week to play in the Men’s Twilight League, all three divisions are being tightly contested. The Collins/Willard team lead the Michelson Division by three points over the Fasulo/Putnam team. In the Woods Division, the Nickel/Adams team has a slim one-point lead over the Goodwin/Peabody team. And in the Els Division, the Fleming/Henderson team has taken a half-point lead over the Gervais/Flewelling team.
All teams will qualify for the single elimination tournament, which begins on Aug. 17. Teams will be ranked from no. 1 to no. 30 according to points, won–lost and head-to-head competition. The brackets and schedule will be posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse.
This week is the last week to sign up for the President’s Cup Club Championship. This single elimination — match play event — will begin the week of Aug. 10 and continue into September.
August is a big tournament month, beginning with the County Open August 8 and 9. The Club Championship will be played on Aug. 22 and 23. Sign up now in the clubhouse to play in this two-day stroke play event. There will be, as always four divisions according to handicap.
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 6 is the annual Babe Caron Member/Guest Tournament. Sign up now for this popular event as the field is limited to only 50 teams. Members, remember you must have at least 10 scores posted from HCGC for your authorized handicap.
