Caribou Technology students celebrate with awards and picinic

Students, staff and invited guests recently attended an end-of-the-year awards ceremony and picnic at the Caribou Technology Center. Ralph Conroy, director of the center, welcomed everyone to the event and recognized Fort Fairfield student, Amber Forsman, as the Caribou Technology Center’s Outstanding Career and Technical Education Student of the Year.        Individual instructors spoke during the event regarding the 2008-09 school year prior to passing out completion certificates and announcing individual Outstanding Student award recipients. Each Outstanding Student was awarded a Caribou Technology Center T-shirt. SkillsUSA students were recognized and  received a T-shirt for their participation.
Caribou Technology Center scholarship recipients were also announced. Those students included: Erik Lundquist, FFHS, received the Mark David Leblanc Memorial Scholarship; Zachary Foster, CHS, the Butch Barnes Memorial Scholarship; Maria Hodsdon, CHS, the Eric Jason Harris Memorial Scholarship and Kayleigh Felix, CHS, the Vocational Teachers Scholarship.
Those attending enjoyed a barbeque dinner provided by the Caribou Food Service program with  the Coca-Cola Bottling Company donating soda and water.
The Caribou Technology Center staff congratulates their seniors and wish them the best of luck with their future plans.
