Years ago, jacks, pick-up sticks, sack races and blind man’s bluff were games that entertained families and children for hours. Well — on Saturday, Aug. 8, Cary Medical Center and the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department invite area residents young and old alike to be at Teague Park and try their hand at some old games as well as to enjoy some new ones, including a current favorite, the inflatable obstacle course. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the park and the wide array of games that are sure to appeal to everyone in the family.
Parents, while you’re loading the family into the vehicle, don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs because at dusk, the movie screen goes up and everyone will be able to enjoy a “Movie under the Stars.” “Kung Fu Panda,” will be the main feature and all of this fun is free.
Remember, games will get under way at 6 p.m. with the movie beginning at dusk. Free snacks will also be available during the movie.
