Thanks to this gift, the Bank’s generous customers and staff will be helping their friends and neighbors with the emergency shelter, food, clothing and emotional support that the Red Cross provides whenever it is needed.”
“We are extremely delighted to support this annual fundraising effort,” said Vicki Smith, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Katahdin Trust Company. “It provides a great opportunity for our customers and employees to help those in need in our local area who are coping with a disaster. We were extremely pleased with the support received from the fundraising effort this year, given the status of the current economy. It just shows that the folks in northern Maine area always generous when it comes to helping those that have been faced with a disaster.”
According to Aroostook County branch manager Joyce Knorr, “the local Red Cross depends on generous County contributors for its disaster relief and other important services.” Knorr added that “Katahdin Trust Company has been a valued partner of the local Red Cross for years, helping County residents through corporate gifts, employee gifts and acting as a Champion of the Red Cross business. Over the past 10 years, the bank and its customers have helped to raise nearly $80,000 with the sale of thousands of stuffed animals — “Cute Cuddly Critters” — to benefit the local Red Cross. We are very proud and pleased to call them our friends, our supporters and our partners in service to the people of Aroostook County.”
