Careers in health
Mrs. Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Castonguay’s grade two students enjoyed visiting with some special people from The Aroostook Medical Center recently. Joining the students in their classrooms were Barbara Turner, health recruiter at TAMC; and Lianne Norsworthy, paramedic with Crown Ambulance.

The women brought some special ‘friends’ with them and presented The Great Hospital Adventure program to the students. This program features the Health Careers Puppet Bunch, a set of eight puppets performing a delightful puppet show and video.
The students have an opportunity to interact with the puppets, discuss health careers and learn what anesthesiologists and radiologic technicians do.
They also learn the importance of calling 9-1-1 and reporting who you are, where you are, and what happened. The students each received a Careers in Health coloring book and an emergency calling sticker.
