All welcome at harvest mass and supper

The Parish of the Precious Blood will hold its annual harvest mass on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 4) at Scott Martin Farms on 259 Albair Road in North Caribou. The mass, to which all are welcome, will begin at 5 p.m.

Agency on Aging gallery features Presque Isle photographer’s work in September

Aroostook Agency of Aging will exhibit the work of Presque Isle photographer Steven D. Chandler in September as part of the Artists for Aging Initiative. In addition to framed photographs and canvas prints, the artist will present several digital collections of images as well as PIHS yearbooks during an opening reception from 4:30-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 during Presque Isle First Friday Art Walk.

Limestone Renaissance Faire 2023

This year Twin Riverswood will be hosting the Limestone Renaissance Faire once again at Albert Michaud Memorial Park in the baseball/soccer fields, located on the Van Buren Road in downtown Limestone on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harvest Mass and Supper at Houlton potato farm

A Harvest Mass and Supper will be held at Fitzpatrick & Peabody Farms, located on 529 North Street, on Saturday, Aug. 19. The Mass will begin at 4 p.m. at the potato house, followed by a potluck supper.

July Annual Wellness Visit fairs a success, with more to come

Earlier the month, Northern Light AR Gould Hospital hosted three Annual Wellness Visit fair days for patients with Medicare. A total of 234 patients were seen over those three days at what is being considered a great success, and more fairs are planned on Aug. 3, 8, and 9 as well as in September.

Final Mike & Heidi Memorial Ride 

The 10th  annual “Mike and Heidi Memorial Ride” in memory of Mike Kitchen and Heidi Pratt, took place on  Saturday, July 15. Organizers started the day with concerns about weather, but those concerns were quickly alleviated as perfect riding weather arrived just in time.
