Get on board Train of Events to celebrate Harry Potter

The University of Maine at Fort Kent English faculty have planned a Train of Events each day from Oct. 11-15. Faculty, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to participate in various Harry Potter books and literacy awareness readings that are scheduled to take place after the University’s fall break

Agency on Aging gallery features Presque Isle artist’s work in October

Aroostook Agency of Aging will exhibit the work of Presque Isle painter Rick  Kavanaugh in October as part of the Artists for Aging Initiative. His works will be featured during an opening reception from 4:30-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6 during Presque Isle’s monthly First Friday Art  Walk.

Community partners come together to support and celebrate recovery

The University of Maine at Fort Kent Behavioral Science program and club, Fish River Rural Health, Aroostook Mental Health Center, and Life By Design have been working together to host its annual Recovery Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Fort Kent Riverside Park Lion’s Pavilion.
