Opposes mine proposal

To the editor:
I am writing in complete opposition to the proposed rezoning of Pickett Mountain. For the small number of jobs this will create versus the impact and potential harm this will have to both the ecology of the area and tourism, it simply is not worth it.

A possible political solution

To the editor:
I’ve been clear in my opinion of Biden and his administration. In case you missed it: I think Biden and his party are the worst that I’ve seen in my lifetime. I also believe four more years of Biden policies will destroy our country.

Women service members deserve equal support

To the editor:
Being the new district commander of [American Legion] District 17, I get highly perturbed when I see elderly service men scoff at women soldiers. They think this way: the American Legion is a men’s club.

Appreciates kindness

To the editor:

A moment for fresh nostalgia

To the editor:

The multipurpose building in Madawaska vibrated with high octane during the recent Acadian Festival, as local favorite Jerry T took the stage and delivered a performance that left the packed crowd on their feet and dancing the night away.

Free speech, not hate speech

To the editor:
Since Oct. 7 where over 1,400 jews were massacred at a music festival by Palestinian Hamas terrorists, some in horrific fashion such as babies being burned alive in front of their mothers or had their heads cut off, I’ve been amazed at the number of protests across our county in support of the Hamas terrorists.
