Houlton town manager will be arraigned next year on felony charge

On Monday, eight Houlton registered voters comprising the newly formed Petitioners’ Committee met outside the town office on Water Street at 1 p.m.
His resignation follows the council’s no-action stance during a Thursday meeting, which keeps Town Manager Cameron Clark in his position.
Following the meeting, Council Chairperson Jane Torres said that things were “status quo,” and that she would have a written statement on Friday.
He must report to the Aroostook County Community Corrections Program caseworker daily by phone and once a week in person.
“The Council acknowledges that the charges brought against Mr. Clark are of a personal nature,” Town Council Chairperson Jane Torres said Friday.
Houlton’s Town Manager was arrested Thursday on charges related to an alleged domestic assault.
